as she finds her crucified Master now risen from the tomb
where she had expected Him to stay.
With the Apostles we are amazed as our risen Lord
takes food again in His pierced hands, filling us
with peace as He sends us out to tell all the world
about His mission of mercy from the Fathers.
Lord, Your rising from the dead
increases my faith, hope and love.
May my belief in Your resurrection
change my attitude and behavior toward others.

Seventy years have passed;
now all is consummated.
The road home is smooth;
there will be no more pain.
Your faith and the love of your friends

The empowerment of women and girls is a most urgent need in today’s world where discrimination, violence and exploitation of women and girls, especially in the developing world, is tearing the heart out of society and family life causing human suffering, exclusion, sickness and death.
I first considered becoming a priest when I was seven years old. Mysteriously enough I still remember that strong feeling of being called by God. In high school I thought in great depth about that call. If I were to become a priest what kind of priest would I become?
Father, Your Son chose Your will for Him
over His own desires.
Help us to remember Christ’s example,
and give us the strength to do Your will,
even when it seems difficult.
You are always with us,
especially in our times of need.
We are thankful for Your blessings every day.

Loving Father,
I stand before You in the midst of confusion and complexities of life.
My future sometimes seems distant and unknown.
Give me, O Lord, the vision to see the path You set before me.
